I have complted my goal of posting 30 photos in 30 days, thank you for everyone who follows the blog and for everyone who has "liked" my facebook page. I leave you today with a photo that was taken this fall with a good friend.

This is usally where I say "until tomorrow" but I think I am going to take a few days off. So I think I will close with until next time (my guess is it won't be to long.

This photo was one of my first photos I took from the Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis.

Only a few days left in a "month of photos" some days with life it is a challenge to get posted but I have enjoyed sharing my work with all of you! I am still in need of ideas for this weekend for locations to shoot, please bring me the ide's.

The tree is looking great! So many flowers this year.. I have a couple days left of my 30 days of shooting and it is still going strong, it is amazing how many things there are to photography if you just stop and smell the flowers.

April 20th

Went to the river in Anoka tonight to get a couple photos of ducks, came back with this shot if you look close you can see the ducks.

Today I went to a friends house to take some photos of her flowers, WOW she has a lot of gardens. She also claims that there is always something in bloom. I can not wait to take more photos of her gardens.

A couple old advertising signs in downtown Minneapolis.

A little late in the day but I was able to get my post in. The trip downtown to shoot photos of old advertising that have been painted on buildings was my wife's idea. It turned out to be a lot of fun and I enjoy shooting with her!

April 10th

Went to Fridley Nature Center, I took my little photo buddy along and had a great time. He is starting to learn that if you want to take photos of birds you need to be quite. That lasts about 10 seconds and he is going like a little chatter box again.

A little cold today taking photos, I am glad I am getting practice in taking photos of flowers in preparation to Como on Sunday. As a reminder it is open to everyone, Sunday 8-10 and the cost is $5 to get in early. If you are interested please let me know.

Some more pictures of a crabapple tree, this one is at my in-laws. I love the contrast in the color. My new macro lens really extends the depth of field, and it is going to take a bit to get use to. I hope everyone had a great Easter!

April 7th.

I put my little buddy in the tree and at first he was not too sure, but then he seemed to take right to it. I took another photo of the crabapple tree as I like the contrast between the pink, green and blue, my guess is that is not going to be my last photo of the tree. Both photos where taken tonight and had a little struggle to get the lighting but I am pleased.

April 6th

Driving around today I ran across a beautiful bike and I needed to stop and take some photos. Thank you John for allowing me to take the photos. The second photo is just something that I thought was a different perspective.

Today I wanted to share two photos, both taken at the same location in Coon Rapids. Five days in and still going, so far I have not found it to be too much of a "job" to get the photos posted. I am finding it fun to locate places that I have gone by many many times and never stopped to shoot a photo. Makes one think that in the hussle and bussle of day to day life it is worth stopping and shooting a photo or two! Until tomorrow!

I was going to shot some birds today, and came across this! This was shoot at ISO 400 with my 18-55 and f18. I am enjoying shooting everyday and I hope you are enjoying the photos. Please feel free to comment.

Spring Flowers

Spring in Minnesota means flowers! This photo was taken from my crabapple tree as it is starting to bud. This was shot with my macro lens this afternoon as it was a much less windy day. My ISO was at 800, and F4.8. I am looking forward to the tree blooming, it will be covered in pretty white flowers all over.

April 2nd, I am finding with macro photography you need a steady hand (and no wind) I tried to keep the outside of the petals in focus while blurring the inside. Some minor enhancements in photoshop but other then that it is how it was shot.

This was taken in my backyard, I had my 70-300 lens on at 300. A nice picture in the middle of the day. Thank you for following my blog and I look forward to the next 29 photos. Please feel free to place any comments on my blog or Facebook page.
